Everything is just cricket with the Cricut cutting machine.

Easter are my favorite scrapbooking pages to do. This machine is excellent for fine detail cutting. I wouldn’t have been able to do these kind of cuts with any other machines.

All dressed up and no place to go.

This was so funny. His favorite show came on, Fireman Sam. He ran and got his flash light, hat and gloves, then started to interact with the TV.

Going to the Beach on a sunny Sunday

We were hanging around the house Sunday, not doing much of anything. The Chief and I were asking each other most of the day, is their anything you want to do today? We would both look at each other and shrug our shoulders thinking, not really! Then I made a suggestion. Lets go to the beach. We can go to Firehouse subs for dinner and leave from there. We got to the beach at 5:30 p.m. Since we are not sun worshippers, it was perfect. No crowds and no hot boiling sun, just lots of relaxing fun. What a great way to end the weekend.

Love the waves.

I have no idea how this boy knew how to make a sand Angel. Summer Angel

Tricky looking for sharks teeth.

Italian - Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil salad

I would like to share one of my favorite salads. Summer is tomato and basil season, and there is nothing better than a beautiful garden red tomato with fresh basil and fresh mozzarella cheese, a loaf of Italian bread drizzled with olive oil. I also love to serve this with a mixture of fresh flat leaf parsley, basil, garlic & olive oil spared. This is wonderful and very simple to make. See Family Heritage Cook Book for the recipe.

What a day!

My day started off really good. Then it was time to go to my Piano lesson. I grab my phone, put on my shoes, open the door to the garage, OH NO, the door won’t open. 1st thought, how can I get into the garage to get my truck out? Garage door….No! It's on remote control and the control is in the truck. 2nd thought, Is the back door open to the garage? No such luck. 3rd thought, I have to get in there so I could pick up my baby from school in 1 hour. Next, I called the Chief. He gave me a simple solution. Un-screw the door handle. Not so simple when all the tools are in the GARAGE!!!! What good is a junk drawer when there’s no screwdriver in it?

Finally I found this. The Chief's old Coast Guard tool.....

I Remembered it opened up.

It has a screwdriver! Yes..

The reenactment.

As you can see I did get the door open in time to pick up my son.

This week the show us where you live Friday Nurseries/Children’s Rooms

Kelly's Show us where you live Friday
This is my son’s bedroom. I painted this room when I was 26 weeks pregnant. Now he is six years old. Due to the obvious reasons, I couldn’t stand on a ladder reaching to high places. My husband helped me out by paint two large stripes on the walls. 1st stripe is in beige, 2nd stripe is in blue. Then I started to paint all the clouds and characters, blending the water to the sand.

My husband built the roof out of 2x4 wood. I covered it in burlap and fishing net. Then I added some bugs and grass. I hung Frog out door lights underneath.

I covered the light with a small Eagle kite. I left the original light cover on the light so it wouldn't melt the kite.

The bed is a trundle bed with drawers under that. The train table I made out of 2x4 wood and I purchased the Thomas the tank engine Island adventure play board. I could not justify the high cost of those tables when I can make it for 25.oo. My son has been putting stickers on it for years making it his own.
This was just an out cove and my husband put shelves and desktop. It works for storage.

I hand painted from The Emperor’s New Grove.

I hand painted Peter Pan and all the characters.

I hand painted Lady and the Tramp.
