Monsters, science and education.

The Cisco Kid and Extreme have so much fun with life. It's great to watch them enjoying themselves. Jane and I took the boys to the Museum of Science and History where they are having a dinosaur exhibit. It's only going to be here through the summer. The Cisco Kid loves dinosaurs. Along with the dinosaurs they had a new exhibit called “The Body Within”. This was really cool. You are able to walk through the human body and see how it works. They have real organs in jars along with other information. It is very educational and for the queasy very gross. We then went to Friendship Park where the boys could ride their bikes. That only lasted about fifteen minutes when it started to lightning. Since we were already downtown, we then decided to go to the downtown library. I have heard it was an amazing library. I heard right!!! It was amazing. The three story library took up one city block. The children’s section was so awesome. Where we live we have a little county library, cute and quaint. It’s nothing like a big city library.

The museum had a couple of these guys walking around with masks on. I was minding my own business when I sensed someone behind me and at the same time Jane pointed behind me. I turned around and I saw this guy's big teeth glaring down at me. I have to admit, I did let out a little scream.
The live animal exhibit. The animal handler person put this turtle down in the middle of the room and walked away. Hummmm????? The boys loved it with no supervision.

The enterance to "The Body Within".

Friendship park
This was almost like a playground than a library.

A good story is always a great ending to a perfect day.

Bread Pudding

This bread pudding is a very simple and inexpensive desert to make. I like my bread pudding to have the texture of custard and I also like to have fruit and nuts in it. You can get the full recipe in Family Heritage Cookbook.

There is something new to look forward to on Wednesday's, its, "What would your children say?" Wednesday

My men are going camping. I miss them already

All packed and ready to go. Dad packed all kinds of nutritious snacks. Potato chips, cookies, M&M's and soda. UG!!!

Camping out away from home is always an adventure.
Even though it's in the Cottage, 300 feet away from the house.
My last picture before I go back to the house.

Have a great weekend.

Boys will be boys and Thank you to all who joined in the Wednesdays fun.

I just wanted to start off by saying thank you so much, to all the wonderful new friends who have joined in the fun “What would your children say?” Wednesday.

It just got done raining very hard and the boys were outside riding their bikes when they decided that it would be more fun playing in the running water and mud. My initial thought was NOOOOO!!!! But watching them and all the fun they were having, I just couldn’t stop these two friends from doing what boys do. When they were done, my next thought was to pressure wash them clean before they could step foot inside the house. Instead they jumped into the pool to rinse off.

What keeps us ticking

Today is "What would your children say?" Let's hear about the silly, funny, scary, hilarious, etc. things you children say and do. I have always known that children are very observant and pick things up quickly.
The Cisco kid wanted me to go in his room and play a game with him. I told him to let me get a cup of coffee first and I’ll be right in. He asked why I need my coffee. I told him that it wakes me up and gives me energy. Quicker than you can think about it, he said, Milk and Chocolate milk wakes me up and gives me energy. Red bull wakes daddy up and gives daddy energy.
That cracked me up. He knows what we drink. Thank goodness I only drink coffee and the Chief drinks Red Bull.
Cheers to health and happiness.
