Were back from Typhoon Lagoon

We spent yesterday at Typhoon Lagoon.

I was worried that we were going to get rained out. It turned out to be a great day. We didn't have to wait in any lines for any of the slides. We only got rained on once. It was a very hard rain and it lasted a couple of minutes. No thunder and lightning so the park stayed open. It wasn't hot. The rain cooled everything off. Since this was our 1st time going on a trip without my husband, he only called me 4 times during the 2 1/2 hour ride down, 6 times during the park. Of course I didn't hear the phone and they were all missed calls. 3 time during the ride home and one of them I was literally 5 minutes from home. When we got home the Chief was waiting outside for us. He mentioned several time he was very nervous about us going without him. It's very comforting to know that he always want to keep us safe. We arrived back home at 6:30 p.m. We had a great and exhausting time.

When I arrived back from my trip, It was great to read all the wonderful post on "What would your children say?" Wednesday

Thank you Heather from Oswald Cuties, Jamie from Beach Family, Kim from Pair' Slices, Stacy and The Harvey's for sharing those very cute stories.

It's Wednesday!!! What would your children say?

Wednesday is the day where we could tell the world what outrageous and downright embarrassing things our children say and do. It’s “What would your children say?” Wednesday

A couple of years ago, this is what happened.

I was out in the garage taking pictures of some Antiques I just picked up from a garage sale, when I hear this little voice say. Momma I have to go potty. I replied, go ahead baby!! Thinking he would go inside. I turn around to see why he didn't go inside and this is what I saw. I let out a YELP!!!! He starts cracking up. My little boy just dropped his pants in front of the house, in front of all the neighbors and everyone else. Thank you my dear sweet husband for teaching our son to potty where ever.

Summer isn't over yet.

Friends make life fun

Today we had two of the Cisco Kid friends over to play. The boys had such a good time playing in the pool. One of the boys was in the Cisco Kids class last year, the other boy is his twin brother. It was nice for me as well. The moms got to do the mom bonding thing. We were able to catch up before school starts on Monday.

We have one more play date left. Tomorrow we are going to Typhoon Lagoon at Disney with Jane and Extreme. I hope we don't get rained out. We are leaving at 7:00a.m. in the morning and hoping to stay until 5:00 or 6:00p.m.

Don’t forget about tomorrow. It's Wednesday's, "What would your children say?" Wednesday

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

What a wonderful side dish of creamy red garlic mashed potatoes with milted cheddar jack cheese topped with light crispy crunch of the fried onions.
A friend of ours was telling me about her red garlic mashed potatoes she was making for her husband’s birthday. They sounded so delicious I just couldn’t wait until I made them. Thank you Sandy. The Chief loved them as well. See Family Heritage Cookbook for full recipe.

Life with Grandma and Grandpa.

This is a glimpse of our life with Grandma and Grandpa (A.K.A. my Mother and Father in laws). Grandma and Grandpa live five long hours from where we live, but that doesn’t stop them from visiting us on every holiday and every one of the Cisco Kids Birthdays. We have also spent a few family vacations together.

Grandpa and the Cisco Kid love their time on the golf cart. Grandma always has an adventure up her sleeve. When Grandma and the Cisco Kid get together you can’t pull them apart. We all enjoy the time we spend together. The Disney food server turned us all into Pirates. Disney Cruise 2006Fun with stickers.
Grandma got a big bubble machine. The Chief and his dad doing the male bonding thing on the Computers. The Cisco Kids 5th Birthday.
