Spending the weekend with Mickey Mouse

The mom squad, our Posse (aka our husbands) and our little rascals, (aka our children) have been to Disney World. The first day was spent at Epcot. We love Epcot!! There are lots to enjoy and this time of year we never waited in line longer than 10 minutes.

WELCOME TO DISNEY!!!!!
The Cisco Kid giving Beans a flower. So sweet!!!! Our favorite ride is through The Land and the hydroponic garden.
Pumpkins growing from a trellis.
A nine pound lemon.

Character dining is one of those fun dinner experiences.
The Cisco Kid and Pluto are in a deep discussion about the scenery below.

These guys were so much fun to watch. They were called the Musical Chefs.
Our next stop was Magic Kingdom. This time of year is nice. It is decorated in fall and character pumpkins. Tomorrow will be the continuation of our trip With a Visit to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Have a safe and happy Halloween.
We have been so busy this month with many activities and sport events. These are some things we did and I did not have a chance to post about. Grandma and Grandpa came to see the Cisco Kid play soccer.
After his morning game we all went to Bob Evans for breakfast.
At home sitting around the fire pit and eating some yummy smores. Nothing like a good snuggle with Grandma. The Cisco Kid building his marble rollercoaster.School Fall Festival with friends working the Surprise Grab Bag Booth.

Class Halloween Party

Continuing the Class Halloween party from Yesterday.

Room Moms rocked the house down with the help of all the other moms.

These little ones were so happy. The Halloween party was a great success. When they walked into the class they were all so surprised.

The tables were covered in orange and bats hanging from the ceiling. They had so much fun decorating their cookies, making the pumpkin pom poms and dressing each other up like mummies.

Pumpkin Cookies

The Pumpkin Cookies are a very simple sugar cookie with yellow and red food coloring to make orange dough.

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees . In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

Materials for the Pumpkin pom poms
I made about 15 of these bats that I will hang around the class.

Thank you everyone for participating in "What would your children say?" Wednesday.
