Slimy creepy crawling things!!

This morning The Cisco Kid is eager to play with all things crawling and slimy. We were eating breakfast when we saw a snail and a lizard. The Cisco kid wanted to go outside and see them up close. He likes the snail because it was nice and slow. The lizard not so slow! The lizard freaked us both out, so we decided to go back inside and take a picture of it through the window. Then the silliest thing came out of The Cisco Kids mouth. He said: Mom lets capture them and add them to our family. Once he said that, I decided it was time we got out of the house or he will want to bring every bug and animal inside. Our local movie theater has free movies during the summer. It just so happened, Astro Boy was playing. We have never see it and I have to say it was really good.
He is trying to feed the snail so it will stay in the yard.
The lizard is a very colorful.
It was nice that some friends were available to come with us to the movies.

Sandra Lee

 Sandra Lee from Semi-Homeade.
Last night I was thinking about what I should post today. I haven’t posted a recipe in a long time. I have been so busy with summer and by the time it's dinner, we are all starving. I have been cooking some really fast dinners in only fifteen minutes. Today I am not going to post one of my fifteen minute meals because I don’t have any pictures. But I want to share one of my favorite people from The Food Network show. Sandra Lee. She doesn't cook just the meal but it's A to Z dinner collaboration. I love her table scapes and how she matches the drinks not only to the meal but to her dinner theme.
Ingredients

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup frozen raspberries, thawed (recommended: Dole)
1 cup raspberry vinaigrette (recommended: Annie's)
1/4 cup raspberry vodka, optional
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh mint leaves
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
Fresh raspberries, for garnish
Directions

Rinse and pat dry chicken breasts with paper towels. Place in large zip-top bag. Add raspberries, vinaigrette, vodka, if using, and chopped mint. Squeeze air out and seal bag. Gently massage the bag to mash raspberries. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours.

Preheat grill to medium-high and oil the grates.
Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 4 to 6 minutes per side. Remove from grill and place on serving platter. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and fresh raspberries.

One of her table scapes.
Here is a wonderful summer drink.
Ingredients
1 part dark rum
1 part guava juice
1/2 lime, juiced
1/2 orange, juiced
1 teaspoon sugar
Dash grenadine
Slice mango
Maraschino cherry

Directions

If one more thing breakes, I'm going to scream!!!!!

I spent most of today hanging around the house because our septic system is not working properly. We called a company that deals with septic systems and here is what he found.
He started digging all the grass and dirt off the lid of the tanks. As he was digging he showed us the water bubbling out of the lid.
The water was rushing in so fast that the hole filled up with water before he was done removing all the dirt off the lid
Once he got the lid off he told me that the pump was probably burnt out and that is the reason the tank was full of water.
The water was flowing in from the other tank.
He got his hose and pumped out all the water so he could replace the pump.
The Cisco Kid wanted to feel like he was part of the construction crew. He ran and got his helmet.

I let the Cisco Kid look inside the hole and once he did he smelt how nasty it was. He couldn't put down his face guard fast enough. Like that would really help.

Once he was all done pumping out the water he found that the bottom was full of dirt. It seems that the tank has a crack in it and has to be replaced.

What a day!!!!!

Entertaining the kids for summer!

Today we went to the Children’s Museum. The Cisco Kid and his friend’s could have played there all day. This is a great place where they could interact in business situations. They have a veterinary hospital, Bank, Post office, police station, supermarket, train station, restaurant, little theater, kid’s radio, fire truck and so much more.

The Veterinarian seemed to be their favorite. They played the longest at this business.

Winn Dixie donated this grocery store in miniature size. This was my favorite.
Fire Truck
Police Station: They played cops and robbers.
The Post Office: He loved delivering all the packages to the mails bins for sorting.
Today was the Cisco Kids first guitar Lesson. He thought the teacher was so cool. The teacher was on the Rock and roll side and that is what the Cisco Kid wants to be, a rock and roll star. It’s nice to be a kid and have all those dreams!!!!
Have a great Weekend!
