Another Halloween event

This year we have had three major Halloween parties to attend. The first one was with the Cub scouts, the second was in the Cisco Kids class and the third was our friends Halloween party. Then of course we had to do the whole trick or treating thing. I will post about them over the next two days.

Since I had the Cub Scouts Halloween party the night before The Cisco Kid had his Class Halloween Party, I thought it would be a good Idea to have some of the same game from the Minute to Win it show.

Again a huge success. Most of the class party we do have stations and the class is broken up into four or five groups. Depending on how many stations are put together. These games are so simple to get all the materials together without breaking the bank.

Here are some names and instruction links to the Minute to win it challenges. The only change I made to the games was the children were not timed but they competed against each other to see who can complete the challenge first.   Candelier , Face the Cookie, Breakfast Scramble, Magic carpet ride and Candy Elevator.  The Candy Elevator was a little hard for seven and eight year olds to do.

Breakfast Scramble.
 Candelier.
This was the only picture of the Cisco Kid playing Candy Elevator.  I have no Idea what he was saying to me.  But you can see the string around his ears to move the pencils up towards his chin.
I mentioned in my Cub Scout Post that this was one of the favorite games to play.  Well this class took Candelier to a whole new level.  They decided to see if they could stack the cans eight levels high instead of the recommended five.

There was so much sugar at this party.  Mr. M's daughter came dressed as a cookie monster and brought the class chocolate chip cookies.  Mr. M made sorghum cookies in memory of the class trip to the farm.  There were cupcakes, and Dirt cups.

Cub Scout Halloween party

This is the first year we have has several Halloween parties. Cub Scout Halloween Party, 2nd grade Halloween party and a friends Halloween party. over the next few day I am going to post about each one of them. I am going to start off by posting about the Cub Scout Halloween Party.

Something happens to boys when you fill a room with them dressed in costumes They become the character they dressed up as. It was funny watching them all. The Cisco Kid dressed up as a police officer and he tried to arrest all the goulash goblins all night long. He wanted to keep everyone in order by not playing the games I had planed but to supervise each one of them. I had to step in and chill him out and make him play the games.

The theme of the party was based on the Minute to win it Challenges.

There were two favorite games the boys had. This was one of them. This was called, Face the Cookie. They had to start the cookie on their forehead and only using their facial muscles, move the cookie into their mouth.

He was very motivated knowing he could eat the game.

This was the other favorite game.  It is called the Candelier.  They had to stack cans five high starting with one can on the bottom working their way up to five.  Great balancing Cisco Kid!!!

This game is called Breakfast Scramble.  I took some cereal boxes and cut them up in 10 pieces and they had to put them together like a puzzle.
Next was the Majic Carpet Ride.  They had to put their knees and hands on the rug and inch across the floor as fast as they could go just like and inch worm.
After all the challenges it was time for them to get all sugared up.  The loaded their own caramel covered apples with all kinds of toppings.

I think the moms had just as much fun.
These tasty morsels were so good dipping them in the chocolate fountain.
Even though the chocolate was red it was vanilla flavored.

Animal Kingdom Disney

We have been to Animal Kingdom in the summer and again on spring break last year.  We always left the park early because of the heat.  It seems that this park is the hottest.  I think it is because of the foliage is so overgrown it won’t allow and breeze or circulating air.  This time when we went the weather was much cooler and it made a very pleasant day in the park.  We covered allot of ground and saw things we never did before.
The Tree of Life!
This tree is in the center of the park and it is carved in detail with alimal life.

 Our first stop was Afirca!
We took the ride that travels through the Serengeti plains.  It amazes me that all these animals live together with no barricades.  And we are traveling through the land with nothing between us and them.

They call this the upside down tree.  Nine months out of the year this tree has no leaves.   It stores water for the dry season.

 White Rhino's
YUP!!!! Lions and Tigers.
After a morning filled with animals we needed something to eat.  We went to the Yak and Yeti restaurant.  It was good.  I needed a meal with vegetables.

We saw these large bats.  They were kind of gross.

Were off to another section of the park.
 Dino Land!!!

A Dinosaur ride!  The story is, A scientist wants to bring back a dinosaur from the past.  So we need to capture it and bring it back to the future.     As you can see The Sysco Kid has his eyes covered the whole time.  It was very loud and dark, with glimpses of large dinosaurs.
There is an amusment section of the park and they have smaller rides.  The Cisco Kid decided he wanted to go on this one.
I was able to take some pictures on this rollercoaster because it didn't have every part of your body strapped in like the Manta at Sea World.

We always like seeing the play, Nemo.

Back at the hotel room the Chief and The Cisco Kid are in their element building a wooden helicopter.
