Packing to go camping with the Cub Scouts!!!!

I am not a rustic camper. I love the outdoors, but I draw a line when it comes time to sleep in a tent. I enjoy comfort and cleanliness to much.  The Chief and the Cisco Kid are going to camp out for two nights with the Cub Scouts.  I will be there during the day but when it's time for lights out, I'm out of there. It's a good thing the camp grounds are very close to our house. I'm going home and then go back to the campgrounds the next morning. Even though I’m not doing the camping I feel it necessary to pack everything for my men. Here is what our vehicle looks like so far!!!!

LOL!!!!

Blog Book Sneak Peak.

I am in the process of turning my 2009 blog into a 12 x12 book. Once completed there will be approximately 270 pages. So far, I have 143 pages completed.  The software is very easy to use and it took me less than a week to complete that many pages.  The company I am going through is called blurb. I am very impressed on what I could do with my pages. I can upload all digital backgrounds to my pages. I can upload and add embellishments to my pages. I can change font, font size and color. There is a selection of picture boards to choose from. Dozens of picture layouts or custom make you own layouts. Here is a sneak peek at what I have been up too.

A 41 year old pet rock.

Yesterday I posted about a pet rock the Cisco Kid made during his cub scout meeting. Later that evening I received an e-mail from my Father in law and Mother in law. They sent some pictures of a pet rock the Chief made when he was The Cisco Kids age. First.... It is so cute. Second.... I cannot believe they saved it for over forty years. Now I am going to put the Cisco Kid's in a safe place so there will be two generations of Father and Son's pet rocks.  Very, Funny!!!!!

I showed the Chief's pet rock to the Cisco Kid and he said.  WOW!!!!
Grandma holding the pet rock.

This was very cute!!!! Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa for sharing.

Cub scouts and their Pet Rock!!!

We only have a few more meetings left. I wanted to end the year where all the boys received at least one pin. This was the last project we had to complete before the boys received their geology pin. We made pet rocks. I gathered rocks, mulch and leaves from outside. I also made some smile faces and eye's. I threw some coffee filters in the mix. I was skeptical at first thinking that they would not be able to make a pet rock out of those items. They all shocked me. Their imaginations were so cute and they made it work.
The Cisco Kid couldn't make up his mind on what his pet rock would be so he made two different faces. He decided he didn't want a pink simile face so he colored the lips black and said it was a mustache.
One of the bays saw a dinosaur in this funny shaped rock.
The Girls also got involved.

Flowers by day and blazing skies by night.

Everything is still in full bloom here in Florida. The pollen count is very high. In all my years living in Florida, I have never seen it so bad. The yellow pollen is so think it is starting to form small drifts next to my front door. I guess it’s the price you have to pay to get beautiful flowers like this azalea.
Last night the sky were lit up like fire. It was a beautiful sunset.
