Something smells a little Fishy
We just did this recently and I didn't get a chance to post about it. We live in a rural area and we love the country. We love the outdoors and outdoor sports but there is one sport I can't get the hang of and that is fishing. We tried our hands at fishing a couple of weeks ago and I want to start out saying, fishing is like watching ice melt... for hours!!!! Our highlight of the day was when the gentleman next to us caught a little fish and let the Cisco Kid hold it. The Cisco Kid is very interested in fishing but he was also bored. If anyone knows of a more exciting way to fishing, please let me know.
We were putting left over pizza crust on the hook.
Nice scenery of the bridge.
Throwing the fish back.
Were done fishing for the day.
On our way home there is a Military museum we stopped by to see the vehicles. This boat/truck was used to carry tanks and infantry from a ship to land. It could drive up from the sea on to land.
This was impressively large.
This is how they drove the tanks on and off.
The Chief knew every little detail about the gun. To me it just looked like a rusted old gun.

Class water party
Today is the last day of school. I am so happy it is over so we can start enjoying our summer. Last summer I overbooked and I didn't feel like we had a summer vacation at all. This year I am pacing our selves. I only booked three weeks of camp so hopefully we can get to Orlando and enjoy their water parks.
Yesterday the Cisco Kids class had their end of the year party. It was all about eating pizza, playing some water games and enjoying Ice cream with lots of topping choices.

The Cisco Kid loved running through the sprinkler.
After I got him in the chest with a water balloon he decided it was payback time. He really thinks he could hit me with that water balloon.
He did get his shot but it bounced off of me and bounced on the ground once when it then popped.
Back to the sprinkler!
Lots of great toppings and waffle bowls for the ice cream.

A Shabby Chic Transformation
Over the weekend I came across this great little table. It was all scratched up and looked very tired. I gave it a face lift by sanding the old varnish off the two top surfaces only to reveal this wonderful wood grain. I painted the rest heirloom white. Here are some before and after pictures.
It had this wonderful carved flower detail on the front that I thought it looked great in its natural finish.
Here is another transformation. I picked up this brass easel. It was nice in brass but it didn't look like a shabby chic inspired item. All I had to do was paint it white and it transformed into the very ornate shabby chic stand.
Yesterday I went to my booth and loaded it up with all my great finds I found over the weekend.Crystal flower candle holders
Porcelain blue and white tea pot wall decoration.
Antique Italian painted pictures in metal frames
If your in the area of Julington Creek stop by Sugar Bears Antique Mall. My booth number is 34.
