Vacation Bible School

All week The Cisco Kid has been going to Vacation Bible School.  He is enjoying it so much.

He is reciting his verses to one of the leaders.  Once he completes his verse he can move over to the candy box and choose a piece of candy.
What to choose? What to choose?  He loves his candy.
There is a contest going on to see who can bring in the most change, the boys, or the girls.  It looks like the girls are winning so far.
He is being just plain silly!!!!

Another change with my Shabby Chic Inspirational booth.

Yesterday I sold the Shabby Chic sofa table so I had to bring in some new items to fill the empty spot.  Over the weekend I transformed some items into some great pieces.
This creation of mine is giving me two thumbs down because I made great use of his young energy and put him to work.
I spent ten minutes trying to talk him into giving me two thumbs up.  He gave me everything but!!!!
Silly, silly little boy.  Hummm!!! I think I should put a price tag on him....
Finally!!  I got my two thumbs up.

Shabby Chic Inspirations

Yesterday I worked on some very cut furniture pieces that I just got. I transformed them from drab to fab!!!

The first one I transformed is this Antique chair. It had a broken cane seat and very dark and dingy finish. I painted it heirloom white and added a cushion seat.  Here are some Before and After pictures.

The second piece was a plain pink wooden bin. I painted it heirloom white and added a shabby chic embellishment.

The third piece was a plain white book shelf with no backing. I know I wanted to put a back on it and put something decorative, I just didn’t know what. Then I remembered I had some old wooden picket fence pieces that would look great for a backing. This turned out so cute.
