Second grade open house.

The Cisco Kids Teacher had a great open house. We got to see a fun presentation about what the class has been up to and the entire curriculum they have been working on over the past few weeks. As the Chief and I were talking to Mr. M., I gave The Cisco Kid my camera so he could take pictures with his friends. They were having a blast.

The Kid didn't do too badly with the Camera.

I had to take the camera for a moment and get a picture of him with his friends.
He is taking a picture of himself.

Have a great weekend!

Still Shabby! Getting ready to be Chic!!

Since I have my Antique Booth I have come across some unexpected items that you would not normally use.  Since I love to decorate and be creative, I have found a great way to repurpose items that look old and very tired into something wonderful.
Why throw it away when you can repurpose it?   I have been working on an item that I am transforming it into a small hutch / serving table.  I am using a head board, foot board and shelving from a desk.  It is almost done.  I will post the ending result when it is completed.

Click on Coffee Table and you can see my past transformation projects or go to my Shabby Chic Inspirational tab on the right.

Going! Going! Gone!!!!

Early last week I went to see how my Antique / Shabby Chic Inspirational booth was doing and found it practically empty. I went home and got a few things together. After I picked The Cisco Kid up from school we dashed to Sugar Bears Antique Mall and quickly loaded some treasures in my booth. We had to hurry because I didn’t want The Cisco Kid to be late for Soccer practice.
The Cisco Kid is doing the Happy Dance because we are finally done and he can go.
I went back a couple of days later and found that a few big items have been sold and now my booth is empty again.  Today I will re-decorate it with some new items.  I will post later in the week what it looks like.

1st Soccer game of the season

Saturday was a good start for the Soccer season.  This was a great game but the poor boys were so hot. Our game started at 10:00 a.m. and it was already 80 degrees, and with the sun beating down on them it was more like 90.  They really slowed down on the second quarter.

The Cisco Kid and another team member were chosen to be team captains.  Part of being a team captain is getting together with the other team and choosing what goal they want first and what team will have the ball first.
This year is number is 10.
The season only lasts 9 weeks.  We will have to miss one game this season due to Cub scout camping.
