Our Cub Scout Pack tries to have at least five camping trips a year. So far we have gone in September, October & this past weekend. We like some camping variety so we went to Fort Wilderness Disney. Since there was no school on Friday, we arrived at 1:00 p.m. The Chief and I were responsible for all the food and feeding our Pack. We have our Pack trailer but I was not real fond of driving it 2-1/2 hours away, so we decided to load up both of our trucks and drive down. We had seventy five campers in our pack that really enjoyed themselves.
After my den got their camp sites all set up we went to Applebee’s for dinner. When we got back we all went to see the movie Tangled that was playing in the outdoor theater. They also had a couple of fire pits going so we could make Smores.
Saturday morning we got up at 7:00 a.m. and started to set up breakfast so it would be ready by 8:00 a.m. We had a continental breakfast for everyone. Usually we have sausage, egg and cheese burritos with home fried potatoes. Since we did not bring the Pack trailer, we could not bring the Pack grill to make them. The continental breakfast consisted of, several different kinds of fruit's, fruit cups, cereal, hot oatmeal, donuts, muffins, banana bread, pop tarts, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and granola bars.
After breakfast we did some Pack activities. Once the Pack activities were done, my den went on an adventure. We took the bus to the boat that went to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. By the time we got there it was time for lunch. After lunch we wanted to see old faithful. The boys got right up front were they could see her blow. What they did not know is when she blew the boys were going to get wet, and boy did they.
We got back on the boat and headed to the Circle D Horse Ranch. There we were able to pet the horses and get some really good information about the different kinds of horses they have there at Disney.

We got back to camp just in time to order Pizza for the whole Pack.
As usual the boys had a great time with the adventure of camping at Disney.
I LOVE these pics!!!! What a great time!! You really know how to set up camp easy and convenient for serving the masses! Our pack tends to like frying , grilling, and roasting, which is cool, but involved, messy, time-consuming, and lots of waiting around. TCK looks like he had a blast....as a drowned wet rat!! Ha! Ha!
