There is nothing like receiving badges and awards to make a boy happy.

Last night we had our monthly Pack meeting for the Cub Scouts. The boys worked so hard to get all their requirements completed so they could get their Bobcat Badge. Not only did the Cisco Kid get his Bobcat Badge but he received the BB shooting Belt Loop, Archery Belt Loop, Bicycling Belt loop, Soccer Belt Loop, Soccer Sports Pin, Swimming Belt Loop, Art Belt Loop, Tiger Cub recognition badge and a Tiger Cub orange bed

Now we are working on the Tiger Cub Badge requirements. Starting in November we will be working on "Making my family Special".

Wild imagination

Every Wednesday it's "What would your Children say?" Wednesday. As they get older their little minds have such vivid thoughts. It is so funny when they put those vivid thoughts into action.

On the night of the Boys Scout Camp out, we were all sitting around the fire and the boys were telling scary stories. The Cisco kid raised his hand wanting to tell a story. Before I could ask him what he was going to say, he was picked to tell his story. He told it like this.

Once upon a time there were boys sitting around a fire like this. And then, one of the boys got his leg cut and he started to bleed. And then, he cut his arm and it started to bleed. And then, he had to go to the hospital when a tornado came and there was a snake in the tornado. The tornado went away and left the snake and it bit the boy. Good thing they were close to the Hospital.

That was the Cisco kids version of a scary story. He left the entire group laughing with his wild imagination and you can tell he was making it up as he was going. He was so brave to get up in front of all those people he just met, and start telling his story with no real plan in mind.

The Boy Scouts know how to have a good time.

Over the weekend we had a Spook-o-ree campout with the boy scouts. It all started on Friday evening and ended Sunday morning. Due to the poor weather conditions in the evenings we decided not to spend the night. The temperature was in the low 40's and for us Floridians that is COLD! We got to the camp site at 8:00 a.m. and stayed for a full day of fun. With the jam packed day of activities and crafts the time just flew by. We left the camp site at 9:30 p.m. and the temperature was already 49 degrees.

We started our day with a great game of volley ball.
Tug of war

The boys were looking forward to the BB gun shooting range.

The boys were so proud of their targets. The Cisco Kid got very close to the center.
We took a break for lunch and the Boy Scouts put on a full spread of sandwich meats and cheese. After lunch we went right back to the activities by making a sun catcher.
Kick ball
Running to third base.
Archery, another one of the boys favorites.

Leaf rub
Singing songs around the camp.

After all the song singing we had dinner of Hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken with all the fixings. After dinner we went to the Bon Fire ceremonies and participated in skits.
Then it was time for the Haunted trail walk. The boy scouts did a great job decorating the trail and walking around not being too scary for the Cub Scouts. After the haunted trail walk it was time to get around the camp fire and roast marshmallows and eat smores
