Kelly is changing Show us where you live Friday to Show us your LIFE

One extra thing I would like everyone to know. I am doing a giveaway with mck linky. Click over on my new button "Marianne's House of Shopping" "Giveaways" You can see all the details.

Show us where you live Friday is over, Kelly is now asking: Show us your LIFE.

This is my sons life sleeping. I love sleeping baby pictures. So this is a glimpse of my sleeping baby as an infant to present.

This is when we first brought him home from the hospital.
We went grocery shopping and he was so comfortable in the baby carrier that I couldn't wake him to put him in the car seat.

Grandmas are always so comfortable.
The Mall wore him out.
My poor boy!!!! I was cleaning the kitchen when my little cutie started to follow me around with the pillow. I was so involved with cleaning, I didn't realize what time it was and totally missed getting him his bottle. Well as you could see he just couldn't wait any longer. He put the pillow in the kitchen floor and went to sleep with his bottom in the air. Bad,Bad, Mommy!!!

Just a few minutes prior to him falling asleep on the floor, He was in his chair eating and we were laughing. Once he was all done eating he got down out of his chair, put his bottle on the floor and passed out. The rest is history.
Driving in a car will make him fall asleep in a flash.
I just died laughing when I walked in on him sleeping with his hand down his pants.

He wanted to see Santa so bad, that he finally went to sleep in the family room.

He hurt his little lip and the entire trauma just tuckered him out.

This was Christmas Eve. 2008
I thought he was in his room playing and when I went to see what he was doing, he was no were in sight. He was in my room asleep.
This child will fall asleep any where any place. He is lying down on a small sitting stool.

Apparently he had a hard day at school.

That concludes my favorite pictures and my sons sleeping life.
Have a great weekend.

I am having a deep thought moment

First, I really enjoyed all the posts on what would your children say? These kids are such cutie pies. I’m looking forward to next week. Thanks again.

All summer long we have been very busy doing numerous activities. My son thrives on all his activities and he is always very excited to experience something new. I sometimes feel we are not spending enough time together, just him and me doing the mommy and son bonding. I see this happening more and more as he gets older. He is more involved in outside activities and wants to be with his friends. Of course we are just as involved with him. About 4 years ago, my son and I went shopping. As I was buckling him up in his car seat, he said in his little 2 year old voice, “ I so happy!” I immediately said back to him, sweetie that is my life’s goal, to make you happy. Because my life goal is to make my child happy, I think many times about how my son would remember me? How he would remember us as a family. I know that all the activities make him happy but then again he is just a child.
Many things go through my mind. What will his perception of his life be when he is grown? This is a very clear thought in my mind only because my father at the age of 48 died when I was 15. I have a wonderful perception of him in the little time we spent together. My perception of him is, he was a hard worker, family man, put the safety of his children first, bonded with his children, took care of his family, sportsman, adventurist, well liked, very friendly and ready to help anyone. These are great attributes for a child to remember and pass these attributes down to their children. I know that my perception of my parents along with their raising technique shaped me into the person that I am today. I know that as my son gets older his perceptions of us as parents will mature. I also know that his perception of us as his parents will shape him into the person he will grow up to be. I want him to be the best person and I want him to remember us in the same light as I remember my parents. Parenting is never perfect and is very difficult, but that’s what we signed up for when we decided to have a child. I think being aware, keeping connected and making a conscious effort to do the best job with raising a child is half the battle. I know one thing for sure. Everything we do and say will leave a mark on his soul forever. We are shaping him every day of our lives. He is a reflection of us. When he is all grown up and has a family of his own, he can pass down all the things we so endearingly hold close to our hearts. Love your children and make great everlasting impressions.

Why buy toys when a roll of tape will be lots of fun.

Today is "What would your children say?" Let's here about the silly, funny, scarry, helareous, etc. things you children say and do.
You’ll never know what The Cisco Kid will tape down. He stayed under the table for a good 45 minutes taping our feet to the floor. he was having so much fun and giggled the whole time. It's funny! It doesn't take much to make a child happy.

Monsters, science and education.

The Cisco Kid and Extreme have so much fun with life. It's great to watch them enjoying themselves. Jane and I took the boys to the Museum of Science and History where they are having a dinosaur exhibit. It's only going to be here through the summer. The Cisco Kid loves dinosaurs. Along with the dinosaurs they had a new exhibit called “The Body Within”. This was really cool. You are able to walk through the human body and see how it works. They have real organs in jars along with other information. It is very educational and for the queasy very gross. We then went to Friendship Park where the boys could ride their bikes. That only lasted about fifteen minutes when it started to lightning. Since we were already downtown, we then decided to go to the downtown library. I have heard it was an amazing library. I heard right!!! It was amazing. The three story library took up one city block. The children’s section was so awesome. Where we live we have a little county library, cute and quaint. It’s nothing like a big city library.

The museum had a couple of these guys walking around with masks on. I was minding my own business when I sensed someone behind me and at the same time Jane pointed behind me. I turned around and I saw this guy's big teeth glaring down at me. I have to admit, I did let out a little scream.
The live animal exhibit. The animal handler person put this turtle down in the middle of the room and walked away. Hummmm????? The boys loved it with no supervision.

The enterance to "The Body Within".

Friendship park
This was almost like a playground than a library.

A good story is always a great ending to a perfect day.

Bread Pudding

This bread pudding is a very simple and inexpensive desert to make. I like my bread pudding to have the texture of custard and I also like to have fruit and nuts in it. You can get the full recipe in Family Heritage Cookbook.

There is something new to look forward to on Wednesday's, its, "What would your children say?" Wednesday
