Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

What a wonderful side dish of creamy red garlic mashed potatoes with milted cheddar jack cheese topped with light crispy crunch of the fried onions.
A friend of ours was telling me about her red garlic mashed potatoes she was making for her husband’s birthday. They sounded so delicious I just couldn’t wait until I made them. Thank you Sandy. The Chief loved them as well. See Family Heritage Cookbook for full recipe.

  2. You did a great job with this recipe!! Since I had Sandy's (Mom's) potatoes myself, I know they are delicious---so I think you pretty much matched them! No surprise---you're the queen of cooking!! :)

  5. WOW! I just stumbled on my potato recipe right here on your site! So glad that you and others are enjoying this idea. I know we all love it. They're not slimming but are very good. I make mine in an 8 1/2 x 11 cake pan cause I cook everything BIG and toss it in the oven to bake up cripsy and golden.
