Caramel, candied apples

This is the time of year when candy is everywhere. I love the idea of caramel apples. If you're going to eat candy there should be some fruit involved. This year I had the Cisco kid make some Caramel, candied apples.

4 large apples or 5 medium apples
1 bag of Caramels with sticks. Prepare the caramel as directed on package.
Chopped pecans
Milk Chocolate chips
Crushed Heath

Put Chipped pecans, Milk Chocolate chips and crushed Heath in separate bowls. Once caramel is heated put the sticks in the apples and dip in caramel. Let excess caramel drip off. Then dip and cover with toppings. Place on parchment paper and let cool overnight.

  1. OMG, I want them now! :D They look so delicious!
If i only could find that caramel somewhere.

  2. This is what I've been talking about for weeks....I am starving now!! Now I must go out and get a 10,000 calorie caramel apple all because of your scrumptious looking blog post!!! This looks like it was a great activity and treat! I bet TCK had blast and enjoyed eating it. What did The Chief think? I would have never thought to put Heath bar on one, but I bet it was delicious!!

  3. This is a great idea ! I cannot wait to do this with my Monkey boy. Yummy!

  4. Those apples look so yummy. I might have to try and do this with the boys.

  5. Oh yummy! I have been craving carmel apples and to add chocolate on top, wow!
