"What would you children say?" Wednesday

This is the second post on the funny, hilarious and everything else in between, "What would your children say?" Wednesday. If you don't have a kid, feel free to post something about your furry four legged friends!

Let me set the stage for you. Every night we have the same routine. The Cisco Kid gets a choice of a desert. Then he gets a bath in our big tub. He just about uses it like a pool, playing with all his toys and watching TV. Once he has his bath and brushes his teeth, he reads us a story and goes to sleep. On the weekends he gets a treat. Everything is the same except we read him a story and he gets to fall asleep in our bed watching T.V. Last month for some reason, this crazy six-year-old child thinks he is impervious from any and all repercussions. As the Chief was changing the channel on the TV in the bathroom, this boy who has temporarily lost his mind decided to kick the Chief and say, what do you think you are doing. I want Scooby Doo. I have to say that definitely was the worst move this kid made. The Chief, who is usually very care free and laid back with the Cisco Kid, decided in a blink of an eye, this boy just lost all TV privileges, all playing in the bath tub /pool, no falling asleep in our bed while watching TV, and the one that hit home the hardest, was no desert the next night.

The next fifteen minutes is him pleading his case to me. Cisco kid: Mom, talk to Daddy. I want sugar.
Me: I will not talk to daddy. You did something wrong, you have consequences . Cisco Kid: Mom please I want sugar.

Me: Did you say your sorry to daddy?
Cisco Kid: Yes, and he said thank you and I'm still not getting sugar.

Me: Well, he's right. Cisco Kid: Why me.... as he stamps his feet.
Cisco Kid: I'm so sad. Why is this happening to me.

Me: That's what happens when you do something wrong. You are going to get all your privileges taken away.
Cisco Kid. I won't do that again. " while he is stamping feet again."

Me: I bet you won't.

Me: Not helping by taking his picture.

Me: OK it's time to go to bed.
Cisco Kid: Will I get sugar tomorrow?
Me: No! you have consequences. Stop asking or I will take sugar away the next night also.Cisco Kid: NO! NO! But mom I just wanted Scooby Doo.

Me: You know that you don't kick anyone and talk to daddy that way. Cisco kid: OK... I understand. Will I ever get sugar again?

Me: OH! MY! GOODNESS!!!!! Me: Get In Bed.

This child was saying something else at this point. I can't remember, I blacked out.
Me: Finally!!!!

He really is a good child. I just can't wait until he has children and reads this.

Weight Loss

OK. This is not an excuse, but my house has been a zoo lately. I don’t know what it has been about this month but everyone and their brother has been drooping in for a visit. Don’t get me wrong I love having the open door policy in my house. It’s just not helping my diet. When we have guests, I feel it is very important to always make our guests feel at home, and we do that by always putting food on the table. No matter what time of day or night it is. So let me get to the point. I weighed in Monday morning and total lost is 6 pounds. Not as much as I would have hoped for but on the bright side I didn’t gain 6 pounds. I will be posting updated information on my workout and meals in 15-minute meals and D.I.E.T.? Please don't eat the daisies.

Friday, It's Kelly's Korner

This week Kelly from Kelly's Korner is asking to see Birthday's
My son is a real big cake person. He loves cake. Not only does he love cake but he loves theme cakes. When he was three he was into Thomas the Tank Engine. I started a small tradition between him and I. I made a cake and tried to make it look like Thomas. I surprised him with it on his B-day. He flipped out when he saw it. Ever since then he has been requesting certain theme cakes. Three years in a row he has helped me put the finishing touches on them. I made the Thomas cake out of a Wilton 3-D cake pan.
This is his 3rd Birthday, Thomas the Tank Engine

The cake is covered in butter cream Icing. I put Oreo cookies on the cake for the wheels. I used Kit Kat candy for the train tracks. The gravel is Coco Crisp cereal. The palm trees are pretzel sticks with icing leaves.
This is his 4th birthday, Lightning Mc Queen
Since I could not find a Mack truck cake pan in 3-D, I decided to make do with what I had. I used the Train 3-D cake pan from last year. I used the back part of the engine and squared the top with butter cream icing. I happen to find a Wilton car cake pan and used butter cream icing to make it look like Lightning Mc Queen.

This is his 5th Birthday. This year it was all about Bob the Builder.
I went to Publix to see if they had any construction themed cakes that we could embellish. I found a cake with logs, a cut down tree and some yard tools. So the Cisco Kid said he wanted Bob the Builder, muck and the gang toys on the cake. The Chief found the perfect size toys in a B-day theme. I found chocolate candy that looked like rocks. We ordered the cake; brought it home and the Cisco Kid and I had a blast adding Bob the Builder B-day toys and all the rocks. This is his 6th Birthday
This year their are two themes in one. Scoobie Doo and Fireman. He was very specific about what he wanted.
Again, I went to Publix for the cake. They had a cake with a road on it and I asked them if they could add the burning building. I found Scooby Doo Fireman with flames and fire hydrant. As we were putting Scooby Doo on the cake, the Cisco Kid decided he wanted to have a truck on it , tipped over, in flames and Shaggy spraying it down with the hose. I put the pretzel sticks on it to make it look like logs.
